Experience the Fantastic - ICoN Cosplay Photo Fest
ICoN Cosplay Photo Festival is a weekend that brings together cosplayers and photographers of all skill levels against the backdrop of the capital city of our beautiful and iconic island - Nipaluna/ Hobart in Lutriwita/Tasmania.
First held in 2022 as part of the Japan Foundation funded “Festival of the Fantastic in Australian and Japanese Arts,” ICoN Cosplay Photo Festival was the only festival of its kind in Australia.
In 2023, ICoN was held as a stand alone event, and in 2024 and 2025, participant numbers from the intial twenty cosplayers and photographers in 2022, to over one hundred registered photographers, cosplayers, and helpers.
